한국식 양옥을 개조한 오이타(Oita)의 공간이 품고 있는 고유한 무드 속에 텍스트 샌드위치(Text Sandwich)가 추구하는 미니멀 엘레강스를 녹여냈습니다. 이번 전시는 소재가 지닌 순수한 물성이 공간의 분위기와 리듬을 어떻게 바꾸고, 우리가 일상에서 마주하는 사물들이 어떻게 하나의 ‘대상’으로 인식되는지 관찰합니다.
나무와 돌, 그 사이로 흐르는 빛이 어우러지는 공간 속에서 따뜻한 감각을 느낄 수 있는 일주일이였습니다. 인위적으로 다듬지 않은 내추럴 소재 표면은 시간에 따라 미세하게 변화하며 그 안에 감춰진 밀도 높은 깊이감을 드러냅니다. 아름다운 분재와 사물을 올려놓는 행위가 하나의 의식이 되는 오브제. 시각과 촉각적 매력이 공존하는 이 단상은 일상에 새로운 리듬을 부여해 주시는 시간이였습니다.
Dear Pedestal: Hide and Seek
디어 페데스탈은 자기를 드러내며 공간을 지배하기보다, 그 위에 놓인 존재를 더욱 선명하게 만드는 절제된 구조를 지향합니다. 오직 30mm 단일 두께의 목재 사이로 흐르는 8mm의 미세한 단차를 통해 단순한 구조에 지적 입체성을 부여합니다. 비대칭적으로 구성된 4면의 구조는 각기 다른 각도에서 네 개의 실루엣을 드러내며 공간에 다층적인 이야기를 부여합니다.
Pedestal for Silence
전형적인 사물의 기능을 넘어 공간에 리듬을 더하는 순수한 소재 그 자체로 존재합니다. 단상 위에 놓인 대상을 다른 시선으로 바라보게 하면서 일상을 관찰하는 우리의 인식을 미묘하게 뒤흔듭니다. 고요한 단상은 10T와 6T 알루미늄, 두 가지 두께의 변주로 완성되었습니다.
Within the distinctive atmosphere of Oita, a space created by renovating a Westean-Korean style house, we introduced the minimal elegance pursued by Text Sandwich.
This showcase observes how the pure materiality of objects can subtly shift the mood and rhythm of a space, and how the everyday things we encounter come to be perceived as singular ‘objects.’
Over the course of the week, the space—where wood and stone meet the gentle flow of light—offered a quiet sense of warmth. The untreated surfaces of natural materials gradually change over time, revealing a dense depth that lies beneath their simplicity.
An object that turns the simple act of placing a bonsai or a small possession into a quiet ritual. With its balance of visual and tactile presence, this pedestal introduces a new rhythm into everyday life.
